When it comes to sustainability, the mouse is an absolute pioneer:

The mouse is produced fairly and regionally in an integration workshop in Regensburg. Here, people with disabilities are enabled to participate by providing workplaces that are individually adapted to their needs.

The mouse is completely repairable. Detailed instructions can be found on the Nager IT website, and all individual parts are available. The supply chain and the status of due diligence have been publicly available on the internet since the beginning of 2012. For all these reasons, the mouse is officially recognized as a non-profit product, just like the manufacturer itself, Nager IT e.V.

The Fair Mouse has an ergonomically flat and symmetrical housing design that allows for wrist-friendly use with both the left and right hand. The plastic housing is made from non-toxic post-consumer recycled material.

Technically, the Fair Mouse is up to date:
Its high sampling rate allows it to be used without a special pad. The buttons are particularly durable with a lifespan of 10 million clicks. We deliberately produce mice with cables to make the mouse light and reliable, without relying on batteries. This in turn reduces the unnecessary, environmentally harmful mining of corresponding ores for radio and storage technology. We save further copper by offering two cable lengths: 0.9 m for laptops and 2.1 m for stationary PCs.
